Who is Midtbus Jutland?.
Midtbus Jylland has roots all the way back to 1984, when director Kim Christensen started his career as a bus driver. Shortly after, he teamed up with his father, Svend Åge Christensen, and became independent hauliers with the company KAS Biler A/S.
KAS Biler was later to go and become Midtbus Jylland A/S.
In 1993, Kim took over all the company's shares and from there the company developed rapidly through acquisitions and deals with other bus companies. In 2009, KAS cars merged with Sønderballes Biler, from which Midtbus Jylland originates. The following year they bought Vesthimmerlands Rute og Turist and later Palles Turistfart. These were large companies with 55 buses that contributed to a large expansion of the fleet.
Also in 2020, Midtbus Jylland has merged with Viborg Turisttrafik, which helps make Midtbus Jylland one of the largest bus companies in Central Jutland.
Through a rapid development of the company and the acquisition of other companies, Midtbus Jylland has thereby managed to build up a large amount of know-how within the bus industry, and they have achieved great expertise in everything from ski trips, sports trips and other adventure trips at home and abroad . Headquartered in Bjerregrav, where it all started in 1984, they have a fleet of 95 buses and 140 employees.
